Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Friendly Characters Limited when you use Dilbar.AI.

1. Agreement
By downloading, installing, or using Dilbar.AI ("the App", "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. The App is provided by Friendly Characters Limited ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales.
Dilbar.AI is an AI-powered voice and text companion application. The App provides simulated conversational companions powered by artificial intelligence. All companions are fictional AI characters, not real people.
2. Eligibility
- You must be 18 years or older to use Dilbar.AI. The app is designed for adults and is not intended for use by minors.
- You must comply with all laws applicable to you, including in your country of residence.
- One account per person.
3. Subscriptions
- Subscriptions auto-renew monthly via Google Play (or Apple App Store when iOS launches).
- You can cancel anytime from inside the Dilbar app (Settings → Subscription) or directly via the store you purchased on.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep access to your remaining minutes and texts until then.
- Refunds are handled per Section 5 below.
4. Pack and subscription rules
4.1 Starter Pack
- One-time purchase, available only as a first purchase per user.
- Contents (voice minutes and text messages) are shown at point of purchase and on the pricing page.
- Expires 7 days from the date of purchase. Use it or lose it; unused minutes and texts do not roll over.
4.2 Premium Packs
- One-time purchases. Available in Lite, Plus, and Ultra tiers.
- Contents are shown at point of purchase and on the pricing page.
- Expires 30 days from the date of purchase. Use it or lose it; unused minutes and texts do not transfer between accounts and are not refunded on expiry.
- If a Premium Pack is purchased while you have an active subscription, your subscription's monthly allowance is consumed first (see 4.4), so your Premium Pack minutes and texts are preserved for use within the Premium Pack's 30-day expiry window. The 30-day expiry runs from the date of purchase regardless of subscription status.
4.3 Subscriptions
- Monthly auto-renewing plans. Available in Sub Lite, Sub Plus, and Sub Ultra tiers.
- Each tier provides a monthly voice-minute and text-message allowance, shown at point of purchase and on the pricing page.
- Allowance resets at the start of each billing cycle. Unused subscription allowance does not roll over to the next cycle.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to your remaining allowance until period-end.
4.4 Consumption order
- When you have both an active subscription and an unused Premium Pack, your subscription allowance is consumed first.
- Premium Pack minutes and texts are only used after your subscription allowance for the current cycle is exhausted.
5. Refund policy
5.1 Auto-refund window (all purchases)
Google Play's standard 2-hour auto-refund applies to all purchases made via Google Play. To request: open Google Play → Account → Purchase history → select purchase → Refund.
5.2 Premium Packs after 2 hours
Partial refund may be available within 48 hours of purchase for unused Premium Pack minutes and texts, via in-app refund request. After 48 hours, no refund — minutes and texts expire 30 days from purchase regardless of usage.
5.3 Subscriptions after 2 hours
Refunds are reviewed case-by-case for valid reasons such as billing errors, service outages affecting access, or accidental purchase. Where granted, refunds may be prorated for usage. Where you cancel a subscription voluntarily, no refund is provided for the unused portion of the current billing period; you retain access to your remaining allowance until period-end.
5.4 Starter Pack
Subject to Google Play's 2-hour auto-refund. After 2 hours, the Starter Pack is non-refundable; minutes and texts expire 7 days from purchase.
5.5 The 14-day cancellation right (UK / EEA consumers)
If you are a consumer in the UK or EEA, you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase made at a distance.
One-time packs (Starter Pack and Premium Packs). These are digital content made available to you immediately. When you buy, you expressly ask us to make the content available straight away, and you acknowledge in-app that, once it has been made available, you lose the 14-day right to cancel. This is permitted under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the equivalent EU rules.
Subscriptions. When you start a subscription, you expressly ask for the subscription service to begin immediately rather than waiting 14 days. You can cancel a subscription at any time through Google Play; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. If you cancel within the first 14 days, contact us at support@dilbar.ai and we will deal with your cancellation in line with your statutory rights.
6. Acceptable use
When interacting with companions, you agree not to:
- Attempt to extract harmful, illegal, or dangerous information.
- Use the service to generate content that promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination.
- Attempt to bypass safety systems or content filters.
- Use the App for any illegal purpose.
- Share inappropriate content involving minors.
7. Account termination
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
- One account per person; you may not share your account with others.
- You may delete your account at any time through the App settings or by visiting /delete.
- We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms.
- Upon termination, your account and data are deleted immediately, except where retention is required by law or necessary to resolve disputes.
8. Your content and our licence to use it
You own the messages and audio you send through Dilbar.AI ("Your Content"). So that we can run the Service for you, you grant Friendly Characters Limited a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store and process Your Content solely to:
- provide the Service to you — including transmitting your messages to the AI models that generate companion responses, and maintaining your companion's memory so conversations feel continuous;
- respond to your support requests;
- keep the Service safe — detecting and preventing abuse, and enforcing these Terms; and
- comply with our legal obligations.
We do not use Your Content to train AI models. This licence ends when you delete your account, except for anything we are required to keep by law or to resolve a dispute.
9. Intellectual property
- All companion characters, names, personalities, and content are our intellectual property.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from App content.
- Your conversation content remains yours, subject to the licence granted in Section 8.
10. Disclaimers
- Dilbar.AI provides AI-powered companions for entertainment and conversational companionship. Companions are software, not real people. Conversations are simulated.
- The Service is not a substitute for human relationships, professional mental health support, medical advice, legal advice, or financial advice. If you are experiencing emotional distress or a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or one of the helplines listed on our Support page.
- AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate, inappropriate, or inconsistent. We work to improve them continuously but make no warranty of accuracy or fitness for any particular purpose.
- The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or any specific outcome.
11. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for any breach of your statutory rights as a consumer. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
Subject to the above, and to the extent permitted by law: we provide the App for personal, non-commercial use, and we are not liable for any business losses; we are not liable for loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable when you accepted these Terms; and our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the App will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date and notify you in-app before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those Terms. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Service and delete your account.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
14. Entire agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Friendly Characters Limited regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
15. Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, epidemic, government action, infrastructure failure, or third-party service outages.
16. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account. We may assign these Terms to a successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
17. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident in the UK or the EEA, you also benefit from any mandatory consumer protections of the law of your country of residence, and nothing in these Terms removes those protections.
You may bring legal proceedings about the App in the courts of England and Wales or, if you are a consumer, in the courts of your country of residence. If we bring proceedings against you, we will do so in the courts of your country of residence.
