How account deletion works

When you confirm deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period — deletion is not immediate. Your data is kept safe and untouched during that time, so you can change your mind.

• Within 30 days: sign back in and choose Restore account, and everything comes back exactly as it was — your conversations, companion memory, streaks, favourites, and diary entries.
• After 30 days: your account and personal data are permanently deleted. We cannot recover anything after that point.

If you can still log in to the app

Best option. Takes 10 seconds.

1. Open the Dilbar app
2. Go to Settings → Account → Delete account
3. Confirm

You'll be signed out and the 30-day grace period begins. Changed your mind? Sign back in any time within 30 days and choose Restore account — everything stays exactly as it is now.

Cancel your subscription separately

If you have an active subscription, cancel it in Google Play separately. Deleting your account does not cancel your Google Play subscription — cancel it yourself in the Play Store first, or you will continue to be billed.

If you can't log in to the app

If you've uninstalled the app, lost access to your phone, or can't sign in for any reason, email us and we'll delete your account for you.

In the email, please include:

• The email address linked to your Dilbar account
• Your phone number (if you signed up with phone, not email)
• Any companion names you remember (helps us verify it's your account)

We'll confirm your request within 7 business days. The same 30-day grace period applies before anything is permanently deleted. You don't need to give a reason.

What gets deleted

After the 30-day grace period ends, we permanently delete:

• Your profile — name, avatar, language, and settings
• All your conversations and voice calls with every companion
• Companion memory about you (short-, medium-, and long-term)
• Your streaks, favourites, diary entries, and gift history
• Your sign-in identity

What is kept (anonymised)

Some records must be kept for legal compliance — but with all personally identifying information removed:

• Subscription and purchase history — kept anonymously for 7 years to satisfy UK Companies Act and Indian Income-Tax Act accounting rules
• Consent records for past purchases — required evidence under UK consumer-rights law
• Anti-abuse fingerprints — the device record stays, but is detached from your identity

Good to know

• Any unused voice minutes or pack messages are forfeited — we don't refund unconsumed digital goods.
• If you have a pending refund or chargeback, deletion pauses until that dispute resolves.
• Google Play keeps its own purchase records on your Google account — we can't delete those.
